Actually, Apple called me out of the blue shortly before my one year warrenty expired on my G5. This was my cell phone no less. They were trying to sell me Applecare.

So, they DO call you by phone for no reason other than to sell you Applecare. Just FYI.
Was it annoying?

I'm willing to bet you weren't flaming mad after the phone call. It's not like Apple is telemarketers. And like I said, they won't sell your information. If Apple called, they didn't sell your information to anyone, now did they?

Daniel.

Why, pray tell, would one not wish to register with Apple? Without registering, at least a new system, you will not get Apple Support. Also, it is not as though Apple solicits you via phone for anything, nor do they abuse your e-mail. The only e-mails I receive from Apple are information about hardware upgrades, and it takes less than 7 seconds to remove myself from the email list, however I don't because I actually like getting the email.

Register, don't be an idiot.

I've never registered my Apples, and I have called in for support without any problems. I just gave them my serial number, and everything was fine.

There are plenty of reasons for not wanting to register. Regardless of how much YOU trust Apple or any company, there is always the chance that some employee will sell your information, their database could get hacked, etc. Also, as much as many people love Apple, not everyone wants to receive email, snail mail, or telephone calls from them.

Calling someone an idiot because they don't want to register is not very nice. The fanboy crap on this forum is ridiculous.

Just asking a simple thing. I don't if I registered it or not. Is there somehow I can submit my registration or check if I'm registered?
