Hello everyone,

I have a major problem. My 2015 MacBook pro is suddenly restarting during sleep mode after closing the lid. Doesn't happen quickly, but if the MacBook lid is closed for about 20 or more minutes, the MacBook power button needs to be pushed to turn it back on.

This was never a problem before today. I also now see that under apps that use significant energy is "spotlight." and it doesn't seem to go away.

Is this a software problem? I didn't do an update recently. The last software update I did was on January 23rd, and this problem just started today. I'm in medical schools and put my MacBook into sleep mode all the time throughout the day, and turn it off every night when it is charging.

Does anyone know any fixes for this? Thanks!

I'm freaking out because this computers my life for school right now.

Check under Preferences - Security & Privacy settings - Advanced. Is it set to Log out after N minutes of inactivity? A log out will close all applications and when you wake it up, present you with the login, which could seem like a reboot.

Just reporting back that I've had this setting off since I posted this and haven't had any reboots while asleep.
