Help! 2G iPhone and 3G iPhone on same plan.

I need some assistance. My sister has the 2G iPhone and does not want to upgrade to the 3G and I currently have a BlackBerry and I will upgrade to the 3G iPhone. We are the only 2 lines on the plan, how is the family plan going to work if we want 700 minutes and 30 family unlimited texting?
