I have a M2 pro laptop running the latest version of O.S. Sonoma, (14.2.1). I purchased a 'Video-2-Mac' transfer kit, off Amazon.
This would allow me to take my video 8 tapes from my camcorder to my Mac. Using their supplied software 'OBS studio' it picked
up the audio as "EM28284 USB audio". The video it doesn't pick up and only shows the FaceTime HD Camera. I am new to using
a Mac and finding a very steep learning curve difficult to deal with, but sticking it out. Any help appreciated.

Another site the audio/video guys hang out is:
gearspace.com

What is the make of the camera?
What kind of OUTPUT does the camera have?
USB?
HDMI?
Firewire?
Something else?

Can you provide us with a link (to amazon) so we can see just what you bought?
