This icon appeared on my task bar. Can anyone identify where its coming from? Its the square with an N in the bottom right corner of it next to my battery icon. Thanks for your help!

Backgrounder
- It’s a status bar icon notifying you that the app you are using takes advantage of iOS native backgrounding.

yes its safe. If you turn it off the apps will quit when minimized and if its on the apps will use the native backgrounding. If you don't like the Icons on the status bar you can hide the by turning them off in backgrounder.

I had previously installed backgrounder and pro-switcher but the icon didnt show up. I've since restored the phone and reinstalled and now its there. Any idea why?
