HELP! Are Keyboards interchangeable across macbook pro Models???

Hi, Just wondering if the keyboards are essentially the same across the 15" core duo and core 2 duo machines. Will a keyboard from a 1.83 MBP be interchangeable with one from a 2.33 Core 2 Duo MBP? I have access to an older MBP, but I don't know if it will work before I take it apart due to the different model numbers. Thanks for the advice!

It can cause problems, so I guess the quick answer is no.

I had a keyboard replaced on my penryn MBP, and the store put in a previous edition keyboard and I had all my function keys reversed and the backlighting didn't work. So they swapped it out.
