HELP!! Backing up External Itunes Library on Time Machine

I have moved my ITunes Library to an external hard drive, when i go to back up on Time Machine(also external drive) it wont recognise my external hard drives Itunes library (yes it is plugged in) is there any other way i can back up periodically without time machine? Can anyone help.

Is your iTunes external library excluded from the Time Machine backups?

Enter Time Machine settings and remove the external drive from your exclusions.
