My macbook pro won't boot up or read the Internal SSD drive. I have tried internet recovery and even booting up from external USB to get access to the disk utility hoping that ill be able to see what is wrong. BUt to no avail, the internal drive wont show up! I even tried diskutil list in terminal, stilll not showing. What shall I do? Is there a possibilty to still recover data from that SSD if i put in in an external M.2 SSD enclosure.

I would appreciate advise from experts here.

I have read in this thread "How do you move files from non-booting MBP to external HDD?" about target disk mode.
Will it work in my case? so i just need to buy thunderbolt cable and connect my MB to my iMac...instead of an enclossure which looks more expensive.

Is the Apple SSD very complicated and wont fit just in any M.2 SSD enclossure?

here are screenshots when i used the disk utility after booting from a USB pen drive. I also used the Terminal command to check if the HD is detected, but it's not there.

Is my internal SSD dead for good?

You need the correct screwdrivers to remove the bottom casing and the screw holding the drive in place.

The first thing you should do is disconnect the battery as soon as you remove the bottoaarget m cover and keep all metal objects away from the logic board while the battery is connected.

I can't see the detail in the attached pictures.

Target disk mode probably will not work if the drive is not seen at all.
