This is the only place I feel will know the answer to my concerns before my HUGE purchase. Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated. So here's my dilemma and most importantly my questions.

I'm about to place an order for a new Mac Pro "TOWER OF POWER". I've decided to go with this configuration 3.2 (8-Core), 2-gigs of ram, 1 500 gig drive ,and the standard ATI graphic card. I plan on getting the ram upgrades my self and the second hard drive as-ell to run Windows XP 64. Now to the graphic card. I can get the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 at cost threw my job, so here lies my question.

1. Can this card fit in my Mac and where can I get the proper drivers. I only see the drivers on the NVIDIA site for widows machines?

2. How would I properly install Windows XP 64 on the second drive I plan to purchase? I've seen on the Autodesk forums that people have been having licensing issues for 3DS Max "which I use for for work and need". they it has something to do with installing the OS threw Boot-Camp.

The only Mac-compatible Quadro 4600 is the one from Apple, and you can't buy it alone. You'd be getting a 5600 with the new Mac Pro, anyway. I haven't heard about any successful flashings, but with a $2,000+ card, I wouldn't expect anyone to have tried.

Congrats on the "getting RAM and HDDs separately" thing you seem to understand, though. :p
