hey guys

i've recently got my brand new ericsson t68 and a bluetooth adapter! it's awesome. i've got it syncing up with my mac w/iSync no probs.

Problem #1:
=======
When I paired the phone up with the comp, the bluetooth headset is no longer working w/my phone. It's in my phone's paired devices list, but it doesn't work. When i unpair the mac, the headset works again. I unpaired both of them, then repaired, but still the same result. :confused:

I love the idea of being able to make a call from the address book, bluetooth headset on, phone in bag... sounds pretty cool. but for some reason i just can't get the headset to work when the comp's paired! any ideas?

Problem #2:
========
I thought i may as well get GPRS enabled on my phone (it's free to get it enabled here) and was told that i could use gprs as much as i want for FREE for the first month :D!!! So, I was trying to work out how to get GPRS working w/my iBook for internet access. under network prefs, there's the USB Bluetooth Adapter configuration. However, under the Bluetooth Modem tab, there's this massive list of what appears to be Infared modems (see screenshot below). Which one do I pick??? Do I need to download a script for my phone or what? Has anyone managed to get this to work?

thanks for the reply, encro. unfortunately, the app you linked to costs $$ :( and with the prices that Telstra charge for GPRS, i don't have much cash just lying around ;)

...but thankfully i did manage to work out a way of getting GPRS working, without installing any extra apps. i'll do a full write-up -- it'll be on ambitiouslemon.com for all to see soon.

...and if you don't mind a slightly less elegant phone, look into the T68 (without the i :) ). You'll save around $200AUD ($100USD). Make sure to get your free software upgrade though.

p.s. i'm writing this using my iBook and a GPRS connection from my t68.

PLEASE DO! I've been trying to get my Ericsson T39 to use the GPRS but haven't found out how to do it!! Also for your first problem (the one about the headset not working @ the same time) that's Bluetooth, because the two devices make a secure connection to each other (They change their radio freq. every other millisecond so no one can listen to your calls) there is no room for a third device. I too have a bluetooth headset, are they sweet or what? :D
