The Reddit forums are literally flooded with these calendar spam questions lately. What are people doing/clicking to get this? Check Settings > Privacy > Accounts for suspicious accounts and remove.

My bad. Go to Settings, then Passwords and Account (not Privacy). Under Accounts look for anything suspicious and delete..

Looks like you subscribed to some crappy calendar.

In the app, click "Calendars", scroll down, and look for calendars which say "subscribed" underneath.

Got it thanks , how that hell that got there ? From visiting a site ?

Do you remember any sort of pop-up asking for permission to add an account? It would be a little troubling if simply visiting a web site would be sufficient to add an account, to say the least.

this also tells you how to unsubscribe.

It is not really a matter of an additional account. Bizarrely, one adds a calendar Subscription through the “add accounts”, “other” settings menu.

theres no “account” and no “profile” involved.
