HELP: can't boot, set efi password, blinking folder

I have a MBP C2D. I was 'securing' my system a bit and set the EFI password using the OS X install disk. Everything appeared to go fine, but when I rebooted my Mac I just get a blinking folder icon.

I've tried holding down 'c' while booting to boot from the install disk and I've tried resetting pram but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Hold down the option key, at this point, you may need to enter your EFI password, then you can choose which device to boot from.
