HELP! Can't edit notification widget

I don't know what happen, the edit button is not at the bottom in the notification widget or whatever it's call.

edit: uh..nevermind shutting the phone seems to fix the problem but this will be annoying if I have to constantly turning the phone on/off to get the edit button comes back

You also cannot edit it from the lockscreen (if that's what you did)
