I keep getting popup malware. Ads.FinanceTrack (x07).dll. Claims to be from Apple, says please call such and such a number.

I've tried everything to get rid of it. Delted browsers, reset brosers settings, searched Applications, erased and re-downlaoded the OS. Run a few anti-virus scans.

But it keeps coming up.

Does anyone know how I might get rid of this infernal thing?

Called Apple support. Guy said it's going around the Internet and there's no current solution other than backing out of the website. WTF.

Have you tried MalwareBytes for Mac?

Download and run it.

It will run for about 30 days or so, then ask you to "subscribe" or pay.
You DO NOT need to do that.
Just indicate that you want to keep using the free version, and continue.

The difference between the free and pay-for versions is:
- paid version scans in "real-time"
- free version scans "when you run it".

The free version is good enough for me.
