Help Cant Hear Anything On Mac

I have a macbook pro and i cannot hear anythin...plzzzz help even when i use my volume control i dont hear the little clicks

Shut down your computer. Then hold down command-option-p-r when you hit the power button to turn it on. Keep holding these four keys until you hear the startup chime a second time. That should fix it.
