Help! Can't stop songs from downloading

iPhone 6+....MacBook Air

iTunes Match is turned off on both...signed out of my account on the iPhone in the music app.

Every time I turn on my iPhone (i've turned it off to stop the dump) it wants to download over 6,000 songs. Of course, since I'm not signed in a get constant pop-ups for either telling me it can't download song "so and so" or another pop up asking me to sign in to my account to download.

WTF?? No matter what I do, it won't stop.

well...after serious battery drain, no way to stop the songs from downloading no matter what the settings on either the iPhone or Mac...and Genius team stumped, decided to simply back up the phone and wipe clean start from scratch and do a restore.

Working fine now.
