Help. Can't sync ipod after updating to ios 8.4

I installed the update on my iPod touch this morning. I declined the three month free trial of apple music. I just want to update my iPod with new songs that I just added (after I installed the update) but it will not sync the new tracks. I also can't see any of the cover art for my songs from my iPod.

Can anyone help?
