Help! Charging issues.

So I have had my Iphone charging for about 2 hours and it still hasn't booted up! Any tips?
There is a lightening bolt and a big battery with a little red mark, which has been the same for over two hours

sounds like its not charging or not charging fast enough. what phone, OS and cable? if you want us to help, give us as many details as possible. did this just randomly start happening? ongoing issue?

I think somethings wrong with your cable/charger,I had the same issue with my iPhone 4, changed the cable and it solved the problem.
