HELP! Circle With Line Through It on Startup

This happened during a software update and now I cant get my Macbook Pro to start up.

I have tried:
-> Booting from a bootable USB that I created using createmediainstall on Terminal (?)
-> PRAM Reset
-> Reinstalling from Recovery Mode
-> Reinstalling from Internet Recovery Mode

What else can I try?

Sounds like your hard drive or SATA cable failed.

Hope you had a backup!

When you do a hardware diagnostics test, does it return an issue with the hard drive?

Dead hard drive or busted hard drive cable, I hope you had a back up. Replace with an SSD for better than new performance.

Nope Nope and Nope.

Was able to restore from USB.

All is well.

Well don't say we didn't warn you the fact that it went down at all is a bad sign, I would be expecting it to fail but good luck.

That's good. The symptoms you listed point to a failing HDD or SATA cable. I'd be cautious about doing anything critical on the computer.
