This place is a gift and a curse for such things. It keeps you aware of minor things that may be an issue, but also makes you just nuts thinking you may be seeing something that either isn't there or a non issue.

i didn't mention this was a sarcasm contest..

it's more of gathering some basic stuff especially with the X that each of us will return if found.
and the best way to check it.. i imagine there could be around 5 things?

Just use it. If you detect anything wrong then return it.

yea.. but there are wrongs that are... "well, i guess it's not that terrible" - and there are immediate returns.
nevermind. maybe i'm asking for something impossible.

You will know if something is so wrong that it needs to be returned.

So, I also really like handbags. There is a forum out there, like the equivalent of macrumors for handbags, where this sort of "what should I look for when I get this bag" goes on...everything from minor misalignment, to an errant stitch, to a small scratch on the hardware (which is going to happen anyway). I really think it prevents people from just getting the item and seeing for themselves whether it "works" or not for them, and it instead turns into an obsession for complete perfection which will never be satisfied.

Order the X. If you take it out, start it up, and it all seems good to you...then just enjoy it! If you notice something really bothering you, or not functioning properly, then return/exchange it. You will know if there is something wrong.

Scratches/dents out of box
Pink halo around edge of screen
Warmer display temperature
Dead pixels around notch or on rounded corners
Uneven or inconsistent display when viewing single color
Gaps between glass and stainless bezel (mostly back)
Rattling camera
Loose or defective sleep/volume buttons
Display stops turning on
Green vertical line running down screen
Battery drains too fast

Have I spent enough time here, yet??
