Hi, i just bought a MBP during the free itouch event, and my first apple OS. (i love it)

anyways, i wanted to connect my macbook pro 2009 to my lcd tv. I bought a mini displayport connector to DVi to Component cable.

Now when i plug everything in, RGB cables, nothing shows up... i tired going to system preferences, and detect displays, but nothing.. is there a button i need to press..or somrthing?e

please help, thanks.

Yes, i tried all the video imputs, specifically the component red green blue, i just tried on 2 tvs..

could it be defective? should i have gotten HDMI or DVI?

Isn't component analog and the mini display to DVI only has the digital signals?

FFFFUUUUU
