Hi, i just bought a MBP during the free itouch event, and my first apple OS. (i love it)

anyways, i wanted to connect my macbook pro 2009 to my lcd tv. I bought a mini displayport connector to DVi to Component cable.

Now when i plug everything in, RGB cables, nothing shows up... i tired going to system preferences, and detect displays, but nothing.. is there a button i need to press..or somrthing?e

    please help, thanks.

Have you read the manual of the TV to see if you have to set the inputs of the TV?

Has the TV worked before with the component input?

Isn't component analog and the mini display to DVI only has the digital signals?
