Hi Folks,
I'm trying to connect my iPhone to gmail in the UK.
When I enter the details and hit save, I get:
"Cannot Connect Using SSL
Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?"

I'm effectively trying to connect my iPhone to my O2 data plan.
In the network settings we have EDGE, VPN and Wi-Fi.
EDGE, VPN and Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi I have working ok.
VPN, I have no use for.
EDGE - Do O2 use EDGE?

Basically - how do I get it connected to check my e-mails etc when I'm not near wifi?

Voice calls and texts are working fine.

Cheers,
Steve.

O2 do EDGE and your phone should be showing the E icon. However right now the standard APN info ( wap.02.co.uk, web.o2.co.uk ) do not work.

I suspect that since the ONLY O2 device they have on EDGE is the iPhone that they'll have different APN settings which will be released when the phone is.

I haven't managed to get down to the London Apple store yet to see the settings on their phone. I'll keep everyone updated.

Wait are you saying there are demo units available in the flagship store?
