iPhone X Help deciding which phone to buy

Biggest question...Do you think the iphone X will most likely be cheaper when the new iphone comes out?, my phone is old, I need a new one. I don't want to spend a ton of money. I would most likely have to buy two phones. My daughter is in law school and it's expensive! But, my iphone 6...well I've tolerated it about as much as I can. Should I buy an iphone X now or want about 6 weeks and get the new iphone? I don't want to wait if it won't be cheaper. Remember, I'm paying law school tuition. Thanks for your help guys.

What issues are you having with your iPhone 6? If it’s slow it’s possible that the battery needs to be replaced. Also, iOS 12 is supposed to improve performance so it may be worth waiting to see how the iPhone 6 runs on iOS 12 before paying to upgrade to a new phone.

My response probably isn’t what you want to hear, but if money is a concern then I would at least consider trying to fix your current phone issues before spending full price or increasing your monthly re-occurring costs by adding a device payment plan.

But no, I wouldn’t recommend buying an iPhone X now. It’s too close to announcement of the new iPhones.

Yes it will be. The 2017 iPhone X will drop in price at least a 100.00, since that is what apple usually does once the announcements are over at its stores and carriers will follow suit once the new iPhones launch in stores.

That is possible. It’s also possible that the 2018 iPhone X will take the spot of the 2017 iPhone X and Apple will no longer sell the 2017 iPhone X.

Yes apple will drop the 2017 X, that is why there will be the price drop to clear out inventory. I think the rumors state that the 2017 X will be discontinued but Apple Stores and retailers will still have them so they are going to have to discount them at least a 100.00 to sell them off.

I also would consider the iPhone 7, which will likely be further discounted within the next few weeks, as the Apple September iPhone keynote is coming where they reduce prices of their current model iPhones and announce new ones. If you’re on a budget as you are, I don’t think the iPhone X should really be a consideration, being it is the ‘most’ expensive iPhone in their lineup.

Don’t dare buy one now!! I’m waiting too to upgrade to an X or 8, but no way would I do anything till next month. When Apple launches the new models I think the X and 8 will drop a nice amount in price

It should be cheaper but there is also the possibility that apple release the new iPhone at a higher price than the current one and keep the price the same. I dont think it'll happen though it is a possibility.

Wait is my advice. Apple sends out a space vibe that makes people buy just before the new one is released like piazza places do on their two for one days. A tin foil hat stops the rays man. I swear by mine.

I'd wait. The most probable paths I could see are: A) iPhone X drops $100 in price and stays in the lineup or B) They discontinue the iPhone X, and you'll likely be able to find deals from places clearing them out.

Worst case, they discontinue iPhone X and there is absolutely no stock available to purchase at a discount.... you'll buy the year newer model at the same price you were willing to spend today.
