Help! - I was trying to delete some specific smb passwords in keychain as they seemed to be messed up and whenever I tried to connect to a PC share would ask for username and password anyway. I unwittingly deleted a whole slew of passwords - I'm not sure if I deleted the system keychain or what but it seems like all of my applications are asking for passwords that previously had them saved (Entourage, SMC Fan Control - to name but 2) and they either don't take the correct passwords or refuse to save them once entered

I did use SuperDuper recently to make a backup - is there any way to restore just the keychain items?

You should be able to go to the ~/Library/Keychains folder in your backup. Use that login.keychain to overwrite the one you have (may need to put in your user password to do this) and reboot. Should be good to go. :)
