Hey guys, i recently installed iOS 5, i know stupid but i did and would ilke to downgrade to 4.3.3. I plugged the phone in, pressed option and clicked the right ispw file and i get that "Device isn't eligible for the requested build" message. My device is not jailbroken at all and i don't know how to fix it ! Can someone please help me asap !

This worked for me. Use a computer with latest version of iTunes that is not beta. I believe it's 10.4. Put your iPhone into DFU mode and attach to iTunes. Restore as a new.

If he hasn't saved the SHSH for 4.3.3, he won't be able to downgrade to 4.3.3. So OP's only option is 4.3.5.

Yea i just the latest stable iOS build so if thats iOS 4.3.5 I'm going to try and get that

i got an error...1604

Any tips now...ughhh iv'e learnt my lesson now.

Look on the net for the host file fix on this. Edit in terminal, and try again. Bet this is your issue.

Option restore to the OS you want: hopefully that may assist you- not sure about the signing of the .3 version so The above posters may also be accurate.

but i have no problem getting to DFU mode.. i have the iTunes cable image on the screen,

That's not DFU! DFU is a Black screen! http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034

great..i exited DFU mode and got it back in DFU mode and im back at square one with the not eligible build crap.

so should i download red snow now ?

Download ipsw for 4.3.5 then option click restore in iTunes and choose the ipsw you downloaded.

k check these steps:

1) iPhone in DFU mode
2) iTunes ( NOT BETA). plug iPhone in
3) option click ispw file for 4.3.5

what iPhone do you have and do you have the iPad BB installed by any chance?

god dammit, i keep getting the eligible error again. Im running a iPhone 4 (GSM )

Those are the steps. Man I had the same crap happen to me but I was always able to get it back trying various steps.

You may have to go back to iOS 5.

i am running iOS 5 ... i wanna get back to iOS 4.3.5
