I have a powerbook g4 (17") and the connector which i plug the charger into is no longer working, I have bought a whole new base for it but am unsure if I can just change the connector or if I have to change the whole thing, here is a pic of what I have

if you can't see it I can email a pic

Please help as I can't use my comp, am using my other halves who has a small mac which I can not do any of my work on.

You should be able to change just the DC-In board.

Here's a guide:

Thanx, the link is really useful, just realised I wrote 17" and I meant 15", is it the same process though, just with the battery in a different place?
