smFanControl doesnt work for me (Mac OS 10.12.3) - i crank the speed up to full speed but it doesnt actually change. What version of FanControl did you use?

Did they repair or replace your MB?

smcFanControl stopped working for me as well for some reason. iStat Menus still works, however.

My MacBook was replaced.

I can't manage to run my fans in iStats Menu or other software why? Do you know any other software?
I did stresstest the CPU (yes > /dev/null & yes > /dev/null & yes > /dev/null & yes > /dev/null & in Terminal) and the fans go on but it's hard to make it go at 7200rpm I can manage to get up to 3000rpm and so far up to that I don't have any issue.

I only know iStat Menus and smcFanControl. No idea why it doesn't work for you, but what I can tell you is that it stopped working on my previous (now replaced) MBP as well. On the current one it works. There must be some software component interfering with fan control but I can't figure out which one it is, sorry.

I did find a application that did work don't remember the name.
My fan is silence up to around 4000rpm then I'm starting to hear regular fan sound - and in 7200rpm is regular fan sounds but it's loud 7200rpm are 7200rpm so it should make some sound not like the video in the first post but I guess that you understand.

same issue here, but it doesn't seems as popular as the keyboard double register...

Anyone tried to take issue to Apple Care, how would they fix it?
