Okay, today at work I am sitting in my chair and go into my pants pocket to grab my phone. The phone slips out of my hand and lands almost flat on the floor (carpet). We are talking a fall of 15-18 inches at the most. I lpick it up and it says "no sim":eek::eek::eek: I reboot it three times nothing. each time says no sim. I give it a gental tap on the side near the bottom with my hand and it comes back to life :eek:. Should I make a run to the Apple store and ask then to look at it? I do have an Apple Care warranty and not sure what the deal is with things like this. Should I just let it go and hope all is well. The phone is native in never been JB or hacked in any way. I am running 1.1.4 and was having minor wifi issues for a day or two that seemed to stop. Just looking for thoughts from you all that may have had simular things like this. Thanks

how do you do that? I have rebooted the phone but I assume there is more to rebooting the sim itself. Will that clear out the memory of the phone if I do this?

er, dunno. I don't have an iPhone. There must be a slot somewhere for the SIM card, just remove it and pop it back in again. It probably just got knocked slightly when you dropped it.

No iPhone.:eek: what are you waiting for. LOLOLOL well, you can not open the phone to get to the sim card like most phones so that is not an option. Actually, I could be wrong about that but have looked and thought you could slide open the back but you can't as far as I know.

turn your iphone off, then use a straightened paperclip in the tiny hole by the headphone socket. the sim tray will pop out, reseat the sim, pop tray back in until its flush with the casing and turn on again.

ohh and nothing will be wiped.

This happened to me after a week of use... it stunk. I took it into an Apple store and then went to an At&t store to get a new SIM. For some reason, the drop busted the SIM. No charge and worked fine after that.

I got a little nervous as the slider to open the phone was acting very sticky. But at the moment after a rebot and checking the sim card all seem well at the moment. Thanks for your help all and I will watch it for the next few days and see what happens. Again thanks
