So I wanted to modify a file of mine and went into terminal and when I entered my command it said permission denied. So i entered in sudo !! to see if i could get in it that way (the mac is mine btw) and then a message popped up asking me to choose Y or N in entering my command. I entered Y and then terminal stopped working. The terminal screen is completely blank - I can type but hitting enter doesn't work. What do I do??

Are you able to quit the Terminal normally by clicking on Terminal from the menu bar and then choosing "Quit Terminal", or by pressing Command-Q?

You could also try pressing Control-C inside of the Terminal window, which usually causes the current command to quit/terminate.

Yea, im allowed to quit terminal. Just tried control c and nothing happened. Its so weird, i can type and press enter but nothing happens. everything is blank. even the stuff that usually appears before the command isnt even there.
