iPod touch HELP! - Error 6 in itunes - can't restore

OK i've posted this before but I still cant get this thing to work. I jailbroke my ipod. Everything was going smoothly then when I tried to sync to my itunes library it would automatically quit out. Then I tried to do a restore with the usual methods and I got an "error 6 cannot restore" message.

I've tried everything possible, restarting computer, changing users, reinstalling itunes, deleting itunes library, nothing works. help!😕

thanks, turns out my whole system needed to me reinstalled, Tried it on my friends mac and it worked fine🙂
