I just want to apologize for the length of this message- but you'll understand why it had to be so long after reading.

I'm using a powerbook G4 867 mhz. I've never had a problem with browsing the internet. Today I went to load up a page in firefox and at first nothing happened so i thought maybe my connection was out (i'm using cable). I checked the connection and it was fine. After like 4 minutes, the page finally loaded. I decided to try safari. Same thing. Slow page loading. I restarted my computer, and still same thing.

When I load google however, the page actually loads fairly fast. If I search something on google it also loads fast. But if I try to click on any of the links, again very very very slow. It took me like 20 minutes just to get to this page.

This has never happened before. I recently updated mac osx (tiger) to the newest update a day or two ago, if that makes a difference, but that didn't really seem to affect my internet browsing before.

Any suggestions?

So you have 10.4.11? Hm, have you tried emptying your caches? Have you done any of those network speed optimization tricks?

i've had this one time. do you use a router (airport). I removed the password protection on my router and my internet worked fine (and still does).
