Just noticed ever since I have been on iOS 6, whether I upload a photo from the Facebook app or use the upload option from the photos app. The quality of the photos went from 2048 X 1536 back to 1024 X 768.

It's a bit frustrating since it's nicer to have higher resolution photos on the web when possible.

The only temporary fix I have found, is to use the new feature in Safari where you can access your camera roll and use the mobile version of Facebook.

Also, using the iPhoto app on iOS maintains 2048 X 1536.

But most people won't use these since they are less convenient.

Any help to fix these would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I've run into some resolution issues, too. Sometimes, it uploads a nice, high-res image and other times it's incredibly low-res. Does it choose resolution based on your data connection or something?

It's definitely not data related. Once the OS went from iOS 5.1 to 6 the photo resolution changed for the worse. Lower quality.

I hope they patch it up with the next update.

Have you enabled "Record HD Video" under Photo and Video?
Settings app-- Facebook-- Settings-- Slide it on. I haven't checked the resolution myself, but have always gone in to make sure that setting is enabled.
