I have a iPhone XR 128gb, earlier this week I noticed I had a extremely bright pixel in the middle of my screen, phone still had AppleCare , so I made an appointment and took it to the Apple Store showed them the defect, they agreed its defective and replaced my screen with a brand new screen, I was happy as my old one had some scratches lol.

So after leaving Apple Store I noticed my FaceID wasn't working to well, didn't think anything of it as lighting sometimes affect it. After getting home I came to the conclusion it wasn't working properly so I went into settings and reset my faceID and went to setup new FaceID and on the setup on the first screen where it says "position your face within the frame." I've tried everything, lighting , position etc it never gets passed this. ive restarted the phone nothing helps.

is there anything I do to fix this, or any tips ?

My FaceID working perfectly fine before the screen replacement by apple.

Although I never had the screen replaced on the iPhone X I got new in 2017 I did however have the same issue with not being able to get passed the set up screen on Face ID.

It turns out it was a faulty Face ID module and Apple replaced the phone.

Went to apple store today , every passed tests , stilled didn’t work , reset the phone , still didn’t work , so I got a new phone.

My face ID on my iphone X stopped working after 11 months. Tried everything. 3 hours of online chat & on the phone w Apple to no avail. Apple said send it back, which I did. They couldn't find anything wrong with it, so returned it. Face ID still broken. More time on chat & phone w Apple who said they would replace it. Sent it back to them.
Then they renagued on their promise and said it was water damage - Not possible. They had already had it for repair once before and no water damage was found.
They also said the main board had corrosion. I know a bit about corrosion, so if it was corrosion, in a sealed environment, it must have had water damage since new. Anyhow, since they refused to refund or replace (as they promised to do)I bought a new phone.
Court case is on 4th Dec, with me claiming costs + time spent.
As an Apple user since Apple IIe days, I am disgusted.
