I have a UK factory unlocked iphone 4 which is jailbroken on 4.1 with limera1n....it worked fine until i stated downloading stuff from Cydia which may not be compatible with I0S 4 I guess...

Problem: I cannot access my settings in the phone, each time I try it crashes.

I tried restarting the phone same thing
I tried restoring with a firmware "iPhone3,1_4.1_8B117_Restore" which gave me an error message which I posted a screen shot below. Can anyone remedy this?

Are you using Tiny Umbrella to do the restore?

Yep I am also using this firmware iPhone3,1_4.1_8B117_Restore which my SHSH was downloaded via tinyUmbrella...I also checked TinyUmbrella logs and it reads

12/09/2010 13:07:13.390 You have saved your iPhone4 4.1 (8B117) SHSH locally and the request was sent to CYDIA. This means that CYDIA DOES have your SHSH. Do NOT bug semaphore about the Cydia home page showing this version.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong but I am still getting the error in Itunes.

I've had errors like this before and they are irritating... try using a different usb port or a different computer to do the restore... if that doesn't work then create a new account on your computer and try. hope this helps
