Help! FB Messenger app won't login

My Facebook Messenger app won't log me in after the recent update. Anyone else experiencing this issue and found a solution? Whenever I open the app it just keeps on loading and not logging in.. Tried to reinstall the app and restart my iPhone (5).. What to do?
