Hey guys, I'm looking for a specific style case and having a hard time finding one. It was super easy to find them for the 4s and 5s but 7/8 is much more difficult and I'm not even sure if they exist anymore.

I'm looking for a hard shell case that's clear and has button cutouts for everything, including the volume. All I can find so far are ones with plastic covers for volume and wake buttons and you darn near drop the phone just trying to press hard enough to push buttons through the case.

Anyone seen a case like this that they can recommend?

Have you had a look at Spigen cases? The Crystal Shell may be what you're describing if I'm understanding your post correctly.

All the ones I saw look like they have a cover over the buttons still, but the pictures were hard to see. I ordered one that is supposed to be “almost unnoticeable” though to give a try.

Thanks! The pictures look very promising.

Just as an alternative pov, in case you have no luck...

There are plenty of cases out there with tactile button covers. When done right, they're even easier to press the buttons than without covers as you need to bend your finger more to reach the actual button.

I know of one case maker that have very tactile buttons. Only thing is they've gone downhill with their styles, although you may like them... https://www.iamprodigee.com/collections/iPhone-8-Collection

I agree with above cases with tactical buttons are very easy to press, I know what you mean OP about cases that use to be hard to press volume up down and power

But the two cases I use are very easy to press buttons , I use the Apple leather case and a spigen hybrid ultra 2

Thanks. The Spigen I ordered to give a try says it has those tactile covers and had good reviews from people saying they hate most button covers but these ones were fine.

That's the one ordered actually haha so we'll see. I figured worst case I just send it back to Amazon and try the next recommendation. This one has good reviews though so I'm hopeful.

Looks like what I'm looking for! Not a lot of info on those cases anywhere else which is a shame if they make good stuff. Ordered one to compare against the Spigen case :)
