Hello,

I am thinking about setting up a NAS.

After doing some research it seems Synology is a pretty solid choice as a brand.

My use:

To access files (music, word, photos) from my MBA and G3 phone from my office imac where I will set up the NAS.

I don't need more than 2-3 TB of space. For my use what model would be best?

Also, am I correct in assuming you only need HDD in these vs SDD because you are limited by your internet speed so the speed of you disk does not matter as much?

Thanks

I think synology is the best choice for a small NAS solution. I think the 214 will be good for your use. It's not necessary an ssd drive, best drives for NAS are western digital red series.
