Any insight would be appreciated;

iOS 26.5.1, iPhone Air, one account in it only, mine.
I have Foobar2000 (music player) installed.
I have a certain track that is to play ad infinitum when i want it, only reason i actually installed Foobar2000 on the iPhone.
I have set a Focus where if the Foobar2000 app is running?
- Allow some people -> None
- Silence all notifications + do not move them to Notification Center
- Take iPhone to Silent Mode
* i have also purposely removed all my emergency contacts as they bypass the above, and disabled critical alerts where applicable (say, iMessages), as they can also bypass the above.

And yet?

Problem 1:
- Occasionally i get some whatever email (default Mail app only, no third party software to blame), not even a contact. Focus breaks, music stops playing, ding ding is heard, notification displayed. Fail 1.
Problem 2:
- Often (not just occasionally as per the email issue above but literally often) i get phone calls from people not in my contacts list (default Phone app, again no excuses here). And the Phone calls come through just fine.. Focus breaks, music stops playing, ring tone is heard, notification displayed. Fail 2.

In as far as the options given to me inside Focus + let appropriate apps see/share Focus are concerned, i cannot see what i've done wrong, certainly haven't missed anything.
And yet.

For a 1,5K effing cell phone, am getting pissed off to be honest.. this is 101% part of the feature set.
Will report this as a bug, but in the off chance i missed something, any help would be much appreciated; and thank you for reading 🙂

I didn't even know that you could tie a focus mode to an app. I see there is a way to trigger a focus mode when an app launches. The natural first question then is.. an app only starts the focus mode, are one of your other focus modes triggering afterwards? Like.. you open the app, it switches to your focus for it, then while you're using the app for a long time, is something else causing it to switch to a different focus mode at some point while that app is still running?

Also, enough with the 'getting annoyed because I paid lots of money for the phone so it should never ever not do what I want' that is just silly. It's a computer in your pocket, of course it costs money

@whitestar27 allow me to help you recap your post.

- you had no idea of what i'm talking about, only just learned about it as per your admittance.
- you post any way with rhetorical meanderings i do not recall asking you for; certainly of no import to the OP.
- capitulate by concluding i should stop getting annoyed because a de facto Apple feature isn't working correctly.

Did you make arduous an effort to post this, or did it just come naturally?
(aka) if you can't help someone politely asking for help.. why bother; honestly.
