so .... heres the thing, i started to use iCloud Photo today and everything worked out great. i enabled it on my iPhone after the upload was done on my mac and for some reason it showed "uploading photos" on my iPhone even though there wasnt a single photo on my iPhone. Didnt show a progress or anything either. anyway so i disabled iCloud Photo again on my iPhone to "restart" the synching progress on my iPhone but some empty folders remained.

i deleted those folders because they were no longer linked to my iCloud Photo library in the cloud ... or so i thought. however those folders have gone "puff" on my iPad and Mac as well.

now heres the weird part. when i search for the folder (i remember the name) that is no longer there, i still get the folder suggested as well as those photos inside the folder. also if i name a folder the exact same name as the one that went puff it re-appears with the photos inside that were originally part of said folder.

and now onto the annoying part, i checked iCloud Photo using the web interface and now i have all those folders that were deleted twice so it seems like they werent actually deleted after all and my mac, iphone & ipad just couldnt see them anymore

Mac, iPhone, iPad show these folders, which is how it should be:

but the web interface shows this mess:

some folders r there twice while others show empty even though they arent actually empty and not meant to be empty on my mac
