Help for finding the sound minidisplay port to HDMI

Hey

Just received my new minidisplay port to HDMI to connect my macbook pro 2010 to my LCD. I did connect and got perfect image but I can get how to transfer the sound from the mac to the lcd. Can you help me please??

Does the LCD accept sound via HDMI? Does the manual say so?
Are you sure the adapter you got even transfers sound?

Minidisplay port to HDMI

I did a lot of research before I buy the minidisplay port to HDMI and all user agreed that it works perfectly for macbookpro 2010 and sound was working.

My LCD works with all the connections I have with HDMI with no problems except from this.

I read that I needed to change the sound preferences in the sound output to HDMI, but the only choice i can find is for the internal Built in output.
