hi, I am a COMPLETE newbie to Iphone and all kinds of smartphone. Today I finally got my first IPhone 4S from Apple store. I am still playing with it. I still have lots to learn. Here I have two critical and urgent question I want to ask.

I've been playing for less than half an hour but the usage page shows that I've used up already 42MB download traffic. Since I can only have 1GB traffic for a month from my service provider, exceeding such a limit would lead to a terrible high cost of fee. I would like to know what probably I 've done wrong? I just download one App only and I don't browse any webpage. I am now worried.

Another question is - is there any great website that can give perfect tips for a COMPLETE newbie to Iphone (like me)?

Thanks

If you have 1 GB per month, then that works out to using about 34 MB of data per day. To keep your data usage at a minimum, try to use WiFi as much as possible, and especially for things like downloading apps, streaming video or music, and placing video calls. If you downloaded an app over the cellular network then it certainly could have been 30-40 MB as the limit for being able to download apps over the network is 50 MB. There are a couple of other things that will pull data without you asking it to, such as using the weather or stock widget in the notification center or getting push notifications from apps or email.
