I need help with some scripts working. ive been looking for a Date script for mac, i found a few but i cant get it to work. i have time and ram memory. but the CPU and date dont seem to work. please help

It uses linux commands/scripts

for the date you can use: date +"%A %B, %d %Y"
for the time you can use: date +"%l:%M %p"

Thanks m8, ill try it and see if it works for me. Now i only need the cpu script. the one i got only says that its idle..

Date script broken

I just downloaded GeekTool and it appears it won't run any date scripts. I've tried running every single one that was posted here and none of them work. However, when running them in terminal, they work fine (like they are supposed to).

Yet I can run an echo script. Im thinking there is something wrong with the program. Unless somebody else has a solution?

For reference Im running OS 10.7.1 with version 3.0.2 of GeekTool.

Im using an older version of geektool for reason unknown. cant say its easier or anything but you might wanna try that
