I'm selling my iphone in preparation for the 3G, i want to wipe the data and sell it unlocked and jailbroken, ready for any GSM SIM card. what's the best way to do this--PWNAGE tool?

If i pwn it on a Mac, can it then be used with a PC?

Should I have my SIM card in it while I unlock/jailbreak?

do i even need to backup my data for my new phone? or will all my calendars/contacts/etc sync upon activation?

anything else i should know that isn't clear in the guide?

Thanks!

This can be found out on the programs websites.

Plug your phone, with your sim card, into your mac and press the the do it all button and thats it.

You iPhone will auto backup when you plug in to you mac, thought iTunes. When you get your new (hopefully 3G) iPhone you should be able to plug you iPhone in and restore from back-up. But cant be 100% about this because know one knows.

Hope that helps

I would advice looking at this post

Selling Your iPhone?

and check out the new 'Wipe App' from NerveGas, to make sure all of your sensitive data is cleared. . .permanently.
