long story short... i have a iphone 3g... i disassembeld it... and after re assembling it i noticed that the home button wasent working... now i know it is because one of the 3 connectors running from the screen assebly to the motherboard.. but i dont know witch one... plz help....:( PS: sorry for incorrect english...
 
no need to answer that... i got it... i thout the signal from the home button was goint throu one of the 3 connectors.. but it is not... in fact the is a 4th connector.. well it is sort of a connector...(2 pins sticking out and making contact...) and when i saw those pins.. i realized that i havent closed up my iphone completely... the screen and the motherboart wore connected but the screen assembly wasent in its proper place.. and because of that the 2 pins worent making a connection dose the home button wasent working... :D
 
You found it. Also if you aren't ready to close it and are testing you can short the contacts with a screwdriver or something to simulate a home button press.
