hi

i have a problem guys
i accidently deleted my entire hdd
on the wrong way so now i can't boot my mac up
i can only boot it up from a installation cd but then it wont install
it says this software cannot be installed on this computer
and the installation disc is a g5 ppc disc with 10.4.2
and my imac came with 10.4.11
i don't care about all the files on my maci just want to let it work again

It sounds like the DVD you are trying to boot from is for a different model - the grey restore disks are model specific. Apple will provide you with replacement disks that match what the system was shipped with.

hmm so how can i get it booted up now and the grey install dvd is borrowed from a friend that has a g5 too

i have called apple support
they have told me that my apple care support is expired and a leopard disc will cost 100 euro's
but i just want to boot my mac it doesnt matter which os i just want it to work

Then you'll have to pay the 100 euros, find the discs that came with your computer, or buy the same discs that came with your computer from somewhere.
