I've been using Macs all my life, but it was only with Linux and also once I got into web development that I learned the art of getting help from strangers for your software. Of course, this was for free, open-source software, so I know the ropes of that quite well.

Parallels is giving me problems. It seems to be somewhat "disconnected" from my system: Networking is down, and the resolution doesn't adjust with the window's dimensions.

What's the best way to get support for software that isn't built around a community? I expect the Parallels guys to show me the door, as I'm not using the most recent version (seems they release two new versions every year...).
