Help identify year of new MBP?

    Yes, that is a mid-2012 cMBP. There have been no updates to the cMBP since then, so any new cMBP you buy will be the mid-2012 generation.

    The specs (gt650m and 1600MHz ram) suggest that it is definitely a mid-2012, although the one in the picture isn't as it doesn't have the black strip around the screen bezel. Maybe they just used the wrong picture by accident or something. :confused:

    It's got the High-Res Antiglare screen, which doesn't have a glass front.

    That's because it has the antiglare screen.

    Oh, sorry, I guess I've just never seen a cMBP without the normal screen option then :eek:

    That's quite the price cut, too, for what is essentially the top-spec cMBP.

    Yea it is. I ordered it and the total cost out the door was only $1,988. Not bad at all. I do plan on swiping out the memory to 16GB and adding an OWC SSD. Oh and AppleCare.
