Just like the title says. I have an Intel iMac 20" 2.4 GHz with 2GB memory. Running latest version of Leopard. I came back upstairs 15 minutes ago and suddenly the thing won't read ANYTHING. the only button it responds to is the on/off button. for whatever reason, it WILL read the external monitor, though. but not the buttons on that. Please help. Any suggestions? I really, really need it to be working right now. BTW: I'm just out of Applecare warranty. I'm ready to kill something here.

Edit: I've tried multiple restarts.

take it back to Apple. there's not much you can do without the keyboard. Maybe shut it down and leave it unplugged for a while.

Seriously? I just have to pay them to repair a computer I bought 4 months ago? If they charge me this is the last Mac I buy.

If the computer is just 4 months old you should have apple care at least for a year or am I missing something in this post? Or did you buy it from an individual whose apple care has expired after a year?

Have you tried different keyboard and mouse?

Replace battery if wireless keyboard.

Something could have been faulty. Take it back to Apple and let them fix and you are still under the 1st year warranty and I'm sure that you won't being paying anything...
