Can anyone in the UK load a browser with this user agent:

NokiaN90-1/3.0545.5.1 Series60/2.8 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1

Then go to https://m.youtube.com and play a video - all being well, it should be launched in Quicktime (or Realpayer if you have it).

For me this stopped working a year ago but it still works for others - as I've exhausted every other possible cause, I'm guessing the problem is due to location, my theory being that Youtube in the UK is delivered differently. Unsuccessful attempts from someone else in the UK should confirm this?

When it was working:

it would help if you told us what it did/does do since it stopped working, because "it stopped working" does not give us much to go by on...

anyways I have fired up my closest tiger machine (an 800Mhz 12 inch iBook G3 PowerBook4,3) and I am currently setting this up for you ill report back what happens.

Clicking the "watch video" link launches Quicktime/Realplayer but after a delay it reports media not found.

in safari 4.1.3 with that your user agent, I cant even get to youtube.com it just kicks me to a google search box... (let alone play any videos)
[doublepost=1514054288][/doublepost]alright fixed the youtube not even loading issue (directly copying and pasting the user agent brought over an enter key with it so when pasted it takes the cursor to the next line, removing that fixes youtube not loading at all)

sadly I am getting the issue you describe where it counts down waiting for media then fails

Guess it must be a UK issue then....
Quite bizarre, as it does work with VLC 2.0.10 (Leopard only) and the actual url Quicktime resolves can be opened in Coreplayer too (although mangled playback).

Doesn't work for me. 10.5.8, latest TFF with a user agent switcher, Sky Fibre.

Fires up QuickTime, starts to download/buffer then says "Not Found"

Thanks. I'd initially thought it might be an ISP issue too but VLC knocked that on the head.
If I actually use a Nokia phone that the user agent spoofs, connected through wifi or cellular, I get rtsp playback.

I confirm it still works here in Italy. Here's a screenshot from my old MDD...

Merry Christmas everybody 😀

Yeah ... but no client for PPC. I'll probably take a PowerBook to work and try it from there when I'm back in next week.
